BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert returns to the Slovakia Ring

Schubert Motorsport is at the Slovakia Ring (SK) for the second time in two weeks. After their extremely successful appearance with “PIXUM Team Schubert” powered by Jochen Schweizer in the ADAC GT Masters, which finished with two pole positions, a one-two victory on Saturday and the lead in the drivers' and team standings, the BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert will be taking part in its second race weekend of the Blancpain Sprint Series this weekend.

In the number 76 BMW Z4 GT3, Dominik Baumann (AT) and Thomas Jäger (AT) will go on the attack in the qualifying race on Saturday and the main race on Sunday. The duo celebrated a sensational debut with second place in the main race in Zandvoort (NL) when the team made its first appearance in the series.

Stefan Wendl (Team Manager Schubert Motorsport): “The entire team is feeling positive on their return to the Slovakia Ring. We celebrated fantastic results here almost two weeks ago and are motivated to perform well once again this time. Dominik Baumann will also no doubt be able to benefit from his recent driving practice on this track. The vehicle might be the same as in the ADAC GT Masters, but we are pretty much back to the start with regards to the set-up. This is because Pirelli is a different tyre partner, and one which is relatively new to us. We will use the practice sessions to get more used to the tyres. Despite our good start we are basically still in the learning phase in this series that is new to us. But we know that the Slovakia Ring suits our BMW Z4 GT3 and are appropriately optimistic about the weekend.”
