A squad of strong BMW works drivers joins Schubert Motorsport for the Nürburgring 24 Hours

Schubert Motorsport will be racing at the 44th running of the Nürburgring 24 Hours (DE), which takes place on the Nordschleife on 28th and 29th May, with a driver line-up that is both strong and experienced. Seven BMW works drivers and BMW Motorsport Junior Jesse Krohn (FI) will share the cockpits of the two BMW M6 GT3s, which will be run by the team from Oschersleben (DE), with support from BMW Motorsport.

For Schubert Motorsport, John Edwards (US), Lucas Luhr (DE) and Jens Klingmann (DE), who race in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC), will be joined by DTM driver Martin Tomczyk (DE). Sharing the driving duties in the team’s second car will be Krohn, DTM drivers Augusto Farfus (BR) and Marco Wittmann (DE), and Jörg Müller (DE), who this season competes in the Japanese Super GT Championship for BMW Sports Trophy Team Studie.

Torsten Schubert (Team Principal): “After the first tests with the BMW M6 GT3, the curiosity and anticipation ahead of the coming season is now even greater. We are proud to line up at the Nürburgring 24 Hours with works support from BMW Motorsport for the fifth year in a row. This year, the drivers we have at our disposal are once again the best you could wish for as a team principal. They have a wealth of experience on the Nordschleife and a lot of talent. I can hardly wait to work with them.”
